about

For their second album, cousins Tay and SK Chow drew further inspiration from their grandmother, who has recently become an avid watcher of the Price is Right. Grandma contributed spoken word and played the electric piano intro on "Fiat 124," which tells the story of her family's first car. The other highlights of this album describe other family trips: "Cloudy" explores what it's like to be a tourist in Canada with no cellular signal and "Taqueria" is a Canadian's ode to the California taco.

Track Name: Fallen Rock
There is a rock falling on the Earth
And it's about to get burned
Round and around orbiting the Sun
This time tomorrow no more

There is a rock falling towards the Earth
And it's about to get burned
Round and around orbiting the Sun
This time tomorrow no more

There is a rock falling towards the Earth
And it's about to get burned
Round and around orbiting the Sun
This time tomorrow it's gone
Track Name: Fiat 124
Spoken:
Grandma: "In the past, the cars from Italy were pretty good. It's not that I liked the car, but I don't know why my memory is so clear."
Tay: "Oh, is it because it's our first car?"
G: "It was gray, a small car. But even though it's so small, it can fit five people. Back then there weren't rules about that."

Look to the left over the bridge
Watch, there's a duck inside the ditch
This is our very first trip
In our little gray Fiat

Uncle and Auntie and Grandma
All of us crammed inside the car
It was 1975
You don't have to buckle up to drive

Watching the Price is Right today
Grandma had something else to say
Fiat's come a really long way
Since the junky car from old days
Track Name: Building a House
We're building a house
With nine inch nails
Building a house
With cardboard sheets
It's nine inch thick
It's nine inch tall
Windows and doors
And a nine inch floor
No foundation
We'll move it around
Move it around
When it's cold outside
Burn it down
It's corrogated, isulated
Gotta appreciate it
Take out your glue gun
Bam bam bam
Take out your boomer whack
Wham wham wham
Boomer whack
Wham wham wham
Boomer whack
Wham wham wham
Track Name: Cloudy
Feeling lazy
On the road
The wind is blowing
On the road

It's a long long way back to the station
With no connection
Cannot share cannot talk no messages
Just strangers that I see
Rushing back home

A bit nostalgic
On the road
At the souvenir shop
On the road

It's a long day to guess at the weather
I see that its cloudy
But how will it be when I get back
Can only imagine
As the rain reappears

Feeling lazy
On the road
The wind is blowing
On the road
A bit nostalgic
On the road
Track Name: Fiat 124 (out take)
Spoken:
Grandma: "We're not going to hear the doorbell ring. She's coming, didn't you say she was coming at 1 o'clock?"
